The Largest and Most Significant ICT & Electronics Events in Vietnam

As the largest and most significant ICT and Electronics events in Vietnam, Vietnam International Communications Summit Expo 2009 ("Vietnam Comm 2009") / International Exhibition on Electronics Products in Vietnam 2009 ("Vietnam Electronics 2009") will be staged in the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre, Hanoi during November 18-21, 2009.

In 2008, the IT and Telecom businesses in Vietnam achieved a high revenue of USD 5.4 billion, a 38% increase over 2007. With the expecting 3G licenses in 2009, Vietnam is the Telecom market with expected turnover of USD 6 to 7 billion in 2010. The numbers of mobile subscribers and internet users in Vietnam were increased to 80 millions and 20.7 millions respectively in 2008. The 6.23% increase in GDP, the strong FDI of USD 64 billion and the outstanding import/ export growth also contributed to the fast growing economy and the urge for quicker adoption of more advanced communication technologies and electrical/ electronics equipment in Vietnam. All these best prove the tremendous business development opportunities in Telecom, IT, Electronics and related industries in Vietnam.

Officially sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) of Vietnam and jointly organized by the Vietnam Posts Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd (Adsale), the twin expos continuously created brilliant track records. The last events, Vietnam Telecomp / Vietnam Electronics 2008, with an exhibition area of over 6,000 sqm, attracted 187 exhibitors from 17 countries / regions to showcase their top-notch technologies, products and services. The events received widespread supports from international and local leading companies such as ABTel, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, EVN Telecom, GDS, Huawei, Hutchison Global Communications, MK Smart, Motorola, Nokia Siemens Networks, NTT DOCOMO, Orange France Telecom, PCCW Global, Qualcomm, Sagem, Samsung, Siemens, SK Telecom, SunSea, Vinaphone, VMS Mobifone, VNPT Group Manufacturing Subsidiaries, VTI, ZTE … and also 6 country / industry pavilions from China, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. The 4-day shows brought 18,359 trade visitors a rewarding experience too. The events were highly recognized by the industry, in which over 90% of exhibitors were satisfied with the promotion coverage, visitor flow and quality of the expos, and 92% of exhibitors indicated to participate/ consider their participation again in 2009 events.

Concurrent symposia and conference were held alongside for even more in-depth technology exchange among 30 star speakers from over 20 industry giants and government ministries of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar and over 400 audiences, in the topics of 3G, WiMax, Broadband, E-Entertainment, Multimedia, Next Generation Network, Wireless Satellite Communications, Managed Services, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE.
